Nigerians Exodus Abroad: Bachelors Shortage Back Home?

From: gradehelp@yahoo.com

Women! Women! Everywhere! Is this problem too? When I was in junior College at Miami Dade College in Miami  Florida, the ratio was about 6:4, men:women. When I was a senior at  the University of Miami in Coral Gables Miami Florida, it was 6:4 women:men. I worked there for several years after graduation from a  Masters program. The ratio has since held steady at 7:3 women:men. As thse ratios tilted in favor of men, many of us felt empowered. Market forces of supply and demand really worked and life was much better for most boys. I have taught technology in several colleges and have seen the dearth of men in the classes.

Lest I forget! The black College girl in mixed schools may have discovered long ago that going through 4 yrs of hard work for knowledge sake, devoid of male companionship is a reality. My work study as a night shift bar tender in college made me a match maker. The beneficiary was the "Black Male" who was sought after with vigor and vivacity by all types of girls.

Surprisingly, the parents of these white girls did not show any form of hostility. I can recall when one boy(he claimed to be a friend) borrowed a girl friend's mercedez benz to go to practice. By some some strange coincidence, the father who lived near the college saw this boy leave practice with his daughter's car. To cut a long story short, the boy is now a celebrity and has been with this girl ever since.

I do not know how things are back home today. But, the ratio has always been in favor of men. I used to laugh at my friends who moan when they loose their girl friends or wives( in some cases)when I was an officer and later an airplane pilot at home. There was this Colonel who was tortured by his wife but always returned to her, despite the plethora of girls that were at his beck and call.

In conclusion, this phenomena is a blessing and has reduced some of the Shakara from women. More Power to the men as we have arrived and nature has relieved us of one Wahala-the Wahala of running after difficult girls.

Do any of you remember those sexless girls called "Born Again". I better keep my mouth shut-one of them is now a Prof of Physics and the other one is now one of the most elevated women(Oga) in the Nigerian government of Nigeria. Good bye and stay well as I leave to go to Miami Beach for a swim. God bless the Nigerian Male-Amen.
