Nigerian Tops Indian Scorer's Chart

A Nigerian striker, Onyeka Odafa Okolie of Churchill Brothers is currently top of the goal scorer's chart in the Indian League. Okolie had scored eight goals as at last Wednesday night when he scored in the 3-3 draw against Dempo Sports. In that match, another Nigerian, Felix Chimaokwu got a brace. Earlier in the week, Onyeka Odafa Okolie scored Churchill Brothers' only goal in their 1-1 draw with JCT Phagwara in the week 6 of the I-league.
Okolie who is the Captain of his side hit target in the 28th minute before JCT. Felix Chimaokwu and Ogba Kalu Nnanna also featured for Churchill Brothers in the match. Elijah Obagbemiro Junior of Sporting Club de Goa is second on the top scorer's chart with four goals while Ranti Martins Soleye has 3 goals. Chidi Ede scored his first goal of the season when he banged in one of the goals in Mahindra United's 2-0 win at Vasco SC also in the week 6 of the I-League.
