Cxsm,

Atun leyin ju, oloju arede,
eleyin ju ege, ayo bi ojo,
ayo bi osu, amolewa amoloju,
adulewa aduloju,

A free form translation:

"Lady with the fresh, enticing seductive eyeballs,
Who comes out everyday looking fresh and clean,
Light skin, Light faced, Dark skinned, Dark faced"

I just read this post by Cxsm, and believe me I was filled with joy. There couldn't have been a better way of describing me or my mum and so many Naija women I know. They are simply magic makers, how they juggle between work and home etc.. Abeg I hope you tell your wife or the woman in your life that everyday. If you never get wife, abeg I get plenty plenty young Naija women wey you go like.

Seriously, we need to hear this often, I'll will print it and paste in my office, on days like this ( saturday) that I have done so much house work and have to get to work and still have to go buy obokun for oga's lunch tomorrow, I will read it to calm my troubled nerves.

Thanks brother.

Seriously guys, if you all think Niaja women are so cool, why do you guys love to date Oyinbo girls, i mean i know some guys who are always going on about how stressful Niaja girls are....anyway my reply to all you Niaja guys that love Oyinbo girls...."They love you because of the black man myth, you know the "my black man is an animal myth"....." you girls know what i'm on about dont you?....but like i like to stress.."......with some guys it really what is it..just a myth"

Over to you guys...... it just a myth sometimes isnt it?

me two cents as usual!!!

Re: What is so special about Nigerian women?

We dont feel that we need the blessing or recognition of others to feel special. When we are ready for leadership, we take it and run with it. When we arent, we walk away from the opportunity with the understanding that we already carry much of the nation on our backs, anyway. The extra title of President, VP, CEO, wont change that.

We refuse to take the road of super-politicization. When we take the mantle of leadership, it is as true professionals, and because we believe we can make a change. We dont have to burn our bras or resort to other such ridiculous displays to make our presence felt.

We support our men through thick and thin, managing the downs with grace, and riding the highs with flair. And we raise kids to understand that there will be times when we or others struggle, that money is fickle, and so in the end, the only thing that remains is hard work.

What is So Special About Nigerian Women?

Naija women don't sell their men out.

Men with wisdom appreciate and don't undervalue them, as in the example of our dear Dreamer, who dedicated the aforementioned poem to all the Naija women out there.

n.b. Ladyk. You know you're a Naija already.   :-)
