The World Festival of Yoruba Arts and Culture earlier fixed for this April has been shifted to November 8-15 2008. This is in response to the demand of many participating countries who continuously ask for a shift in the date to enable them prepare for full involvement.
This was made known in London this Thursday by the Chief Organiser and Publisher of Alaroye Newspapers, Mr. Alao Adedayo, while addressing stakeholders and members of WOFEYAC committee in the United Kingdom.
The shift was first announced at the investiture of former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as a Yoruba Ambassador held earlier this month where it was revealed that about 30 countries from the Caribbean, Africa, North America, Europe and Asia had signified their interest in the week-long activities.
