The vice chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Shamsud-een Amali, has been honoure-d with the World Bank Group - IMF African Society Goodwill Ambassador.
A letter by Beldina Auma, chairman, African Society, and issued to Daily Trust yesterday, said Professor Shamsudeen was honoured because of his contributions to the university.
She said: "Based on our discussion, I hereby confirm, on behalf of the 1, 700 members of the African Society that we are honoured to have you as the World Bank Group-IMF African Society Goodwill Ambassad-or and honorary member of the African Society."
