Praise God Irrespective.......Praise God Irrespective.......
We should learn to praise God irrespective of our circumstances. Sometimes we're so discouraged or hurt by our circumstances that we fail to remember that praise is due God always. We may not have all we want or be where we desire to be in life, but no matter what, we have life and sometimes a lot more than some others, regardless of whether it's roofs above our heads, temporary or permanent, owned or rented; clothing on our backs, new or old, designer or plain, ironed or rumpled, hand-me-downs or salvation army; shoes on our feet, flip-flops, sandals or pumps, old and worn or new designer; food on our tables acquired with food stamps, credit cards, our monthly salaries or as handouts; drinks to quench our thirst, regardless of whether it is from the river, stream, well, pump, tank, mountain fresh distilled or bottled and income regardless of whether it's general relief, loans from family, friends, neghbours and/or banks; salaries, investments, inheritances, lottery winnings or credit card cash advances.
We may complain about our disposition, but most of us have part or full-time jobs with minimum wages, weekly or monthly salaries, bonuses or stock options and/or businesses, successful or failing, regardless of whether we're working one, two or three jobs to make ends meet, put food on our tables or simply as full time students, parents or grandparents.
We whine about a lot of things but most of us have the ability to get around regardless of whether our means of transportation is by skate-boards, roller-blades, bicycles, wheelchairs, buses, mopeds, motorcycles, trains, cars, jeeps, trucks, helicopters or private planes
We complain about our what we consider our physical shortcomings and forget we have eyes to see regardless of whether we are near or far-sighted, we wear glasses, nerdy or designer, contact lenses or use magnifying glasses; ears to hear even if they are too small, too big or too wide or we simply need hearing aids; mouths to speak, laugh, and eat even if we have to whisper, we lose our voices, have hoarse, squeaky, whiny or loud voices, or have to add sign language; noses to smell even if they're too short, too long, too narrow, too wide or simply crooked; and most especially limbs to use for walking, running, jumping, hopping, skipping, or holding, grasping, clenching, pointing, etc.
When we enjoy good health we are better than those who suffer endlessly in pain in or out of hospitals, sometimes with pain too debilitating that they wished they were dead, or pain that could be resolved, if not because of the lack of or insufficiency of funds or insurance.
Why then don't we praise the Lord with what we have our mouths, our tongues, our limbs, our bodies; through songs, hymns, prayers and writings or with musical instruments or simply by clapping and dancing.
Remember when you feel too depressed, too lazy, too discouraged or too angry to praise the Lord remember there are some who wish they were capable of praising him, or those for whom it's too late to praise the Lord. At those times the least you can do is simply say Halleluyah!
