More Local Channels???More Local Channels???
[Someone had posted these worthy comments somewhere, and I thought to share them with you all.]
We need more local channels. I strongly believe that if people see the sufferings of Africans in Europe and America on television everyday, the desire to travel and the attitude of people at home will change.
We need to indoctrinate our youth from when they are young to love Nigeria/Africa more than the west. In Europe and North America, the kids are taught about what oyibo man did in history, well we should teach are children what we have done.
Our children should also be taught how to start business enterprises at least from the time they enter high school. This is something the west does not do, therefore we'll be able to gain an advantage over them.
As if that's not bad enough we have the FDG trying to remove the subsidy
on fuel that Nigerians enjoy simply because oyibo man told them it would
have "positive" effects on our economy. Well, why doesn't
Obasanjo tell the west to first reduce the subsidy which they give to
their farmers so that they can keep the prices of their agricultural
products artificially low. Don't these subsidies and other unfair trade practices contribute to keep sub-saharan Africa poor?
