We as Nigerians need to find solutions instead of just the problems. I am out here in the Wetern world, successful by western standards or otherwise, but what am I doing to help Nigeria besides the $$$ pittance I occasionally send there? "How are we going to fix those problems" should be the songs we sing, not just what the problems are.

Eko Club Int'l Administers Free Medical Treatment in Lagos

United States of America (USA)-based Eko Club International has stormed Lagos state, with a two-week free medical treatment exercise for patients with various health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, eyes problems among others.

The exercise, which targets about 20,000 patients for treatment, medical drugs worth over N70 million have been imported from the USA for the treatment of patients, to be supervised by the state Ministry of Health.

Addressing the media yesterday at the flag-off of the two weeks exercise, which took place at the palace of Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, the President of the Club, Tajudeen Abass, said: "the exercise is part of our efforts to assist government in the development of the society as well as plugging back into the society what we have gained from it."

Eko Club International, comprising indigenes of Lagos State, according to Abass, is a non- profitable organization which had embarked on various projects in the past including provision of scholarship for both indigent and non-indigents of other states, rehabilitation and construction of schools, as well as various community development projects.
