ActivistaHilda Dokubo, Adu Deme, Team Up Against Hunger

The Open Air Theatre of the University of Jos, is the choice venue of a new project sponsored by ActionAid Nigeria. It involves youths in the tin city and some artistes. The campaign is against hunger in Nigeria. Some of the artistes in support of the project are Hilda Dokubo, Panam Percy Paul, Adu Deme and Dorcas Bentu. They will support younger artistes who will mount the stage at the university as ActionAid Nigeria moves the campaign against hunger in Nigeria to Jos .
The global youth campaign dubbed Activista is ActionAid's initiative to mobilise youths globally to work towards putting an end to Hunger.
Activista aims to employ music and other performing arts to reach the public and raise an alert on the alarming state of hunger all over the world and mobilise both state functionaries and the populace on the need to end it.
Popular actress and activist, Hilda Dokubo has pledge her commitment to the Nigeria Activista. While speaking of her involvement in the event, Dokubo said "I am fully committed to this campaign. There is so much hunger in the middle of plenty. We cannot fold our arms and pretend we are not touched. We must give all we can until people stop going to bed hungry in this country", Dokubo said
Apart from Hilda Dokubo, Panam Percy Paul and Adu Deme, other artistes billed to perform are Gidado, Real, Mooncat, Aderson, Oh Dog and Chanchit. The Activista event which holds at the University of Jos Open Air Theatre will also have professional inputs from some of the staff and students of the University's theatre arts department.
