I woke up this morning and while trying to say my prayers my mind continued to wonder….but finally, it settled on this thought ….success

Let me say up front, I am not a rich person, I am not focusing on success from a worldly prospective but from a spiritual prospective….the prospective of knowing I have all that I need to be a success in life…both now and for eternity. So, my mind turned to the why of the matter.

Why?

Success is mine because of the God that I serve. He is the El Shaddai - the “All-Sufficient One” is my support. What do I need and/or want that He cannot provide? He is Jehovah Jireh - the “LORD, my provider” what is it that I need that He cannot provide, what is it? I can’t think of it…He owns the cattle on a thousand hills….what little thing could I want that he won’t provide? He is Jehovah Shalom – the “Lord is Peace”…He is my peace…when trouble comes, when life takes an unexpected turn, I don’t have to fear, I don’t have to worry …He is my peace….He is El Roi…the God who sees….He sees all my actions, thoughts and motives…but, even then He remains my Jehovah Shammah - my LORD who is always there….because He is my Jehovah-raah…He is my Shepherd….He guides me, He protects me….

The first secret of my success is the God I serve.

Why?

He has left me a comprehensive road map….His Word makes His principles known to me. Principles, precepts to guide me….He has told me that those who sow will reap….and I believe Him. You see it is a principle that is at work in the world….it applies to all….even those who call Him out of His name or claim He does not exist benefit from this principle….how much more moi?....so if I sow….if I do whatever my hand finds to do….He will honor His Word and give me a harvest….If I obey His precepts, He will keep the devourer away from my harvest…if I give, it will be given back to me

The second secret of my success is I have a road map.

Why?

Because He is faithful….He keeps His Word….He is the same yesterday, today and forever… I can trust that He will do what He promised…Obedience will bring rewards…I have the testimony of those from ages past, I have the testimony of those in the present, I have the testimony of my own life….He keeps His Word…His principles are real…no one who follows/obey Him will be put to shame…..

The third reason for my success, His faithfulness.

I have success not in terms of material wealth…but, in terms of being in His will…being led in the path that He has ordained for me….

I have success.
