Would You Date/Marry A Dishonest Person?

Although most people that are dishonest, regardless of whether it's by cheating on their significant others, lying, being fraudulent or stealing, usually try to conceal it  from others, some people are open about their dishonesty, at least to their significant others.

If you know the person you're dating is dishonest, would you continue the relationship, or would you even go as far as marrying the person?

I asked a friend "If he would marry a thief" and he answered "It depends on what she's stealing". Although I know this answer was in jest, since he's already married, it is true though, that someone else might consider what their mate was stealing or being dishonest about before they made a decision to or not to marry them.

I suppose if the person was stealing food while working at McDonald's to feed their family, it would be different from someone stealing alcohol or cigarettes to feed their habit. Then someone stealing office supplies or clothes from a store would be on a different level from someone stealing millions or defrauding their organization for millions like the Enron folks did. Also, someone cheating on their taxes might be considered different from someone cheating their family out of their inheritance.

Regardless, what would you do IF you are in this situation? Also, would your decision be different IF you are already in love with the person, or IF you are already married to them? In these instances, would you leave or divorce the person?

Please share your views and partake in the poll as your feedback might be useful to others.

Thanks.
