Would/Did You Date/Marry Solely for Money?
While money can definitely make life easier, sometimes it can be the root of contention, cause isolation or create problems and sometimes enemies, even in courtship or marriage. The availability or lack of it, especially when marriage and child-rearing is desired is one of the factors considered in dating or marrying another, whether we choose to admit it or not. The amount each person desires or is content with, and the availability of it is what differs.
While some and probably most people marry for a combination of factors, some people marry solely for money, whatever their reasons may be. Usually such are considered "Gold-diggers", but then that may be deemed as the opinion of on-lookers. People's backgrounds, expectations and level of contentment are some of the factors that may make a person choose to marry solely for money, but then greed might be a very a significant factor.
Nowadays we hear of and/or read about people who are solely seeking rich mates or millionaires as dates or for marriage in newspaper classified sections or on dating websites; so these people obviously don't consider themselves Gold-diggers as they boldly proclaim their desires in public newspapers, magazines, forums and websites.
The question now is "Would you date/marry solely for money?" Please share your reasons why and partake in the poll.
IF you dated/married solely for money and are still dating/married or no longer dating/married, either due to separation, divorce or the death of your mate/spouse, please share what your experiences are/were relative to the subject matter, as well IF you do or do not have any regrets regarding your decision. Also, please partake in the poll, as your answers and feedback would be of benefit to others.
Thanks.
