Visafone Introduces Cheapest Phones

Visafone has introduced a new range of lowest priced phones in the Nigerian market. The phones are selling at a recommended retail price of N1, 600 and N1, 999 making them the lowest priced phones in the Nigerian telecoms market.
A statement from Visafone says that the introduction of the new phones is in line with its promise to bring the joy of communication to Nigerians. “Visafone is committed to helping Nigerians reach the world by providing affordable phones and tariffs. The introduction of these phones underlines that commitment,” the statement said.
The new Visafone phones come in two variants: the N1,600 variant, which comes complete with a long talk time of up to four hours, over 190 hours standby time, colour screen (65k), games, calendar, memo, calculator and the N1,999 variant, which comes complete with the same features with the added benefit of an FM radio.
Visafone, which aims to become one of the preferred telecom operators in Nigeria by offering seamless and efficient services said that will ensure the best clarity and the widest coverage rolled out commercial operations in 12 states and 40 cities on February 22, 2008
Managing Director, Visafone, Mr. Ninan Thomas, while speaking on the company’s strategy had said that that his company’s overriding plan is to act as a spring board for Nigeria’s economic growth and development.
To achieve this, the company will assist in fast tracking that growth and development through the provision of cutting edge communications infrastructure as well as seamless and efficient services that will ensure excellent customer service, unequalled clarity, the widest coverage and seamless connectivity.

Visafone has Extended its Network Coverage to 13 States

Visafone has extended its network coverage to 13 states and over 100 cities and towns in just one month of operation. "We are a wholly owned Nigerian company and we are fully committed to bringing Nigerians the very best in terms of voice and data services. Our promise to bring to them the joy of communication is real and unshakeable. The mobile company now has network coverage in Abuja and the following states- Lagos, Kano, Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Rivers, Cross River, Akwa-Ibom and in some towns and cities in Nasarawa, Ebonyi, Delta and Ogun states," a statement by the company said.
