Today's Word -1a

God's Promises

When God makes a promise, no matter how long it may seem to the carnal mind, it surely must and does come to pass at the time that God knows will be most beneficial to us.

Surely as I have thought so it shall come to pass.
As I have purposed, so shall it stand. [Isaiah 14:24]

For the Lord of Hosts has purposed it. And who can annul it?
His hand is stretched out. And who can turn it back. [Isaiah 14:27]

My counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure. [Isaiah 46:10]
Indeed I have spoken it. I will also bring it to pass.
I have purposed it. I will also do it. (Isaiah 46:11)

God declared the former things from the beginning.
They came forth from His mouth, and He caused them to hear it.
Suddenly He did them and they came to pass. [Isaiah 48:3]

So shall God's word be, that goes forth from His mouth.
It shall not return to Him void. But it shall accomplish what He pleases.
And it shall prosper in the thing for which He has sent it. [Isaiah 55:11]

I the Lord have spoken it. It shall come to pass,
and I will do it. I will not hold back. [Eze. 24:14]

For I am the Lord, I speak and the word which I speak
will come to pass. It will no more be postponed. [Eze. 12:25]

None of my words will be postponed anymore,
but the word which I speak will be done. [Eze. 12:28]

God Bless.

Jesus' Promises

My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. [John 10:27-28]

In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14:1-2)

Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. ( John 14:12)
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the name of the Father may be glorified in the Son." "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14)

I will pray the Father and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him; for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:16-17)

I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. [John 14:18]
A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. (John 14:19-20)

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. (John 14: 21) If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. (John 14:23)

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26)
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)

God bless.

Today's Word - 2a

Names - Their Significance - Part 1

We all bear names and we name others. Sometimes the names are preassigned, because the children are children of God's promise, but then, sometimes the name is even a covenant between your forefathers and other gods and necessitate change. Consider their meanings, and let your names work for you. Be cautious not to label others or to accept labels.

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches. [Prov. 22:1]

When I come to the children of Israel and say to them, "The God of your fathers sent me to you", and they say to me, "What is His name?' what shall I say to them? And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM" .... "This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations." [Exod. 3:13-15]

Out of the ground God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. [Gen. 2:19]

I will do this thing which I have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name. [Exod. 33:17]

Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. [Deut. 28:10]

You shall be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord will name. [Isa. 62:2]

I will make your name to be remembered in all generations. [Ps 45:17]

And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a name like the name of the great men who are on the earth. [1 Chron. 17:8]

And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore him a son and named him "Seth", "For God has "appointed" another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed." [Gen. 4:25]

And he called his name "Noah" saying "This one will "comfort" us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord had cursed." [Gen. 5:29] But Noah found 'grace' in the eyes of the Lord. [Gen. 6:8] Then Noah built an altar to the Lord ... and offered burnt offerings on the altar. [Gen. 8:20] And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake.......... [Gen 8:21]

No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be "Abraham", for I have made you "a father of nations". [Gen 17:5]

Then God said to Abraham, as for Sarai your wife, you shall no longer call her name Sarai, but "Sarah" shall be her name. And I will bless her ... and she shall be "a mother of nations": kings of people shall be from her. [Gen. 17:15-16]

"No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son and you shall call his name "Isaac", I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him. [Gen. 17:19] Now Abraham was one hundred years when his son Isaac was born to him. And Sarah said, "God has made me "laugh", and all who hear will laugh with me. [Gen 21:6] And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him - whom Sarah bore to him - Isaac. [Gen. 21:3]

And He said, "your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but "Israel", for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed." [Gen. 32:28]

Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. And she conceived and bore a son, and said, "God has taken away my reproach. So she called his name "Joseph". [Gen. 30:22-24]

So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name "Samuel", saying, "Because I have "asked for" him from the Lord." [1 Sam. 1:20]

Do not be afraid Zacharias, for your prayer is heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name "John". [Luke 1:13]

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name "JESUS", for He will "save" His people from their sins. [Matt 1:21] Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name "Immanuel" which is translated, "God with us". [Matt. 1:23]

God Bless.

Today's Word -3a

God's Word (part 1)

Be doers of the word, not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. [James 1:22]

Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. [Psalm 119:89]

The entirety of your word is truth. [Psalm 119:160]

Living Word:
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [John 1:1] And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. [John 1:14]

Spoken Word:
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. [Isaiah 55:11]

The words that I speak to you I do not speak in My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the work. [John 14:10]

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. [John 6:63]

Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it? [Lamen 3:37]

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made. [Psalm 33:6] For He spoke and it was done. [Psalm 33:9] And many more believed because of His own word. [John 4:41]

Written Word:
Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones, and I will write on these tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke. [Exod. 34:1]
Write these words, for according to the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with you and Israel. [Exod. 34:27]

And it shall be on the day when you cross over the Jordan to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, that you shall set up for yourselves large stones, and whitewash them with lime. You shall write on them all the words of this law......
[Deut 27:3]

Today's Word - 3b

God's Words (part 2)

All flesh is grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the Lord endures forever. [1 Pet 1:24&25] Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. [Matt 24:35]
Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? Yet surely, My words and My statutes which I have commanded My servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? [Zech 1:5&6]

Promises of the Word:
"The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob", "As for Me", says the Lord, "this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants, from this time and forevermore." [Isaiah 59:20-21]

Power of the Word:
"Behold I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant." [Jer. 1:9] ...the word of God is not chained. [2 Tim. 2:9]

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. [Psalm119:105] The entrance of Your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. [Psalm 119:130]

Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [Eph. 6:11] Therefore take on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. [Eph. 6:13] Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. [Eph. 6:14-16]
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit. [Eph. 6:17]

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart. [Heb 4:12]

He spoke His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. [Psalm 107:20]

Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it. [Luke 11:28]

God Bless.

JESUS' Words - Authority, Healing & Rebuke

My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it. [Luke 8:21]

Authority:
It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." [Matt. 4:4] It is written again, "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." [Matt. 4:7]

And they were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority. [Luke 4:32] "What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits and they come out." [Luke 4:36]

Faith in His words:
But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. [Matt 8:7; Luke7:7]
Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net. [Luke 5:5]

Power of JESUS' words:

Healing

"I am willing; be cleansed." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. [Matt 8:3; Mark 1:41&42]
"Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you". And his servant was healed that same hour. [Matt 8:13]
And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. [Matt. 8:16]
"Be quiet and come out of him!" [Mark 1:25]
He said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you." [Mark 2:5]
For He said to him, "Come out of the man, unclean spirit!" [Mark 5:8]
"Daughter, your faith  has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction." [Mark 5:34]
Then He took the child by the hand and said to her, "Talitha, cumi", which is translated "Little girl, I say to you arise." [Mark 5:41]
"For this saying go your way: the demon has gone out of your daughter." [Mark 7:29]
Then looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, "Ephaphatha.", that is, "Be opened." Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. [Mark 7:34]
"Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!" [Mark 9:25]
"Go your way: your faith has made you well." [Mark 10:52]
"Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his other hand was restored as whole as the other. [Like 6:10; Mark 3:5]
"Go your way: your son lives." So the man believed the word that JESUS spoke to him, and he went his way. [John 4:50]

Rebuke:
"Away with you satan! For it is written, 'you shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.' " [Matt. 4:10]
"Get thee behind me satan! you are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men." [Matt. 16:23]

God Bless.

Today's Word - 3d

Benefits of the Word.

Receive with meekness the implanted word which is able to save your souls. [James 1:21]

Having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. [1 Peter 1:23]
As new born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby. [1 Peter 2:2]

Whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know we are in Him. [1 John 2:5]
"If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." [John 8:31]
He who heeds the word wisely will find good. [Prov. 16:20]

Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. [Psalm 119:11]
How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
[Psalm 119:103]

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. [Psalm 119:105]

Your word is very pure; therefore your servant loves it. [Psalm 119:140] Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. [Prov. 30:5]

That you may be justified in your words, and may overcome when you are judged. [Romans 3:4]

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of God is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. [Psalm 18:30]

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is the truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. [1 Thess. 2:13] ...Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict. [Titus 1:9]

God Bless.

Today's Word - 4

Breath

We all have reason to give God "Thanks", if for nothing else, but that He gives us breath every new day we awake.

God gives to all life, breath, and all things. (Acts 17:25)

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. (Psalm 33:6) By the breath of God ice is given, and the broad waters are frozen, also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds. (Job 37:10-11)

And the lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being. (Gen. 2:7)

Surely I shall cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. (Eze. 37:5) I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. (Eze. 37:6)

And He also said to me, "prophesy to the breath, prophesy son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord God; "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live."' (Eze. 37:9) So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. (Eze. 37:10)

Thus says the God the Lord who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it: "I the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people..... (Isaiah 42:5-6)

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit....." (John 20:22)

God Bless.
