Should You Hide Some Things From Your Spouse/Partner?

I think it's best to be honest if the issue is of relevance to your relationship and its well-being. If your mate can't handle it then maybe s/he doesn't have the 'staying' power and you don't deserve to be together, for who's to say s/he will be willing to stay should other trials come up.

One's past is that "the past" and IF it has relevance in your present relationship, it's better for your mate to hear it from you than an outsider.

Besides, should it be a malicious or envious outsider, s/he'd have already heard the true and correct version and any resulting repentance from you, and can then use her/his judgment to assess and dissolve the issue.
