Senator Akaagerger Gives N70, 000 Scholarships

The senator representing Benue north-east senatorial district, Dr. Joseph Akaager-ger, weekend presented a cheque of N70,000 to seven students of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
Senator Akaagerger said the initiative was a fulfilment of his promise to the Community of Tiv Students.
The senator also announ-ced plans to construct a hostel close to Benue State University to ease accommo-dation problems of students from his senatorial district.
The beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme were Emmanuel Jime, Peter Terngu Agwata, Mathias Akuma Sarvereun, Anastasia Daage-ma, Frank Hemen Moti, Terhide Dooga, and Mercy Kwaghjime.
Mr. Sebastian Hula, president of the Community of Tiv Students, University of Agriculture, Makurdi chapter, expressed appreciation to Senator Akaagerger for the gesture and appealed to the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the grant.
