Sanctions Upheld Against Cadbury Pls

The Investments and Securities Tribunal has upheld the sanctions imposed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Cadbury Nigeria Plc and its directors for culpability in fraudulent statements contained in the 2002 - 2005 annual financial reports of the company.

The Securities and Exchange Commission, the apex regulator of the capital market, had on March 28, 2008 imposed sanctions on the beverage maker, Cadbury Plc and its directors, reporting accountants and other senior executives.
