Made in Nigeria

As more Nigerians are educated, they are bringing a wealth of their knowledge to the forefront to help the country advance, rather than depending solely on imported goods or some so-called expatriates who are sometimes less qualified, but have the benefit of exposure, plus the added benefit of being foreigners.
(For the 'colo' minded this would translate to being Caucasians, or more precisely descendants of their former slave-masters.)

We thank God that globalization is giving Nigerians equal footing in the technological realm. Our prayer is that all those who are presently contributing the gains of their brains outside of Nigeria will also contribute to Nigeria's well-being by transferring their skills back home, either as educators, mentors or producers of the products that can be identified as Made-by-Nigerians-for-Nigerians and 'Friends-of-Nigeria'.

Nigerians can do Nigeria proud by making products that equal or even exceed the quality of those they once relied on foreign nations to supply them. All they need is the opportunity, motivation, encouragement, resources, funding and exposure. Nigerians worldwide are known to excel at whatever they put their heart to, it's time for us to put our hearts to making quality Nigerian goods, instead of continuing to depend on foreign made goods, even the low quality ones, that some will purchase just because they are imported.

Globalization presents the opportunity for us to make and sell our own products. It also presents the opportunity for exposure, therefore we need to maximize such opportunity to present our home-made products. It's therefore time to encourage our inventors and others with creative minds. It's also time to improve the quality of our home-made goods and bring them up to international standards, and soon enough we will not only have Made-in-Nigeria, but we will also be buying and selling more high quality Made-in-Nigeria products.

Please contribute to this thread designated for posts on advances made by Nigerians in technology, fashion and other fields.
