As part of her contribution to the health care delivery system in the country, Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL, weekend, completed this year's de-worming programme for over 3,500 pupils in three primary schools across two local government areas of Delta State. The children ranging from ages 6-12 were from the Ekpan Primary School in Uvwie council and Edjeba and Ubeji primary schools in Warri South council areas respectively.

Earlier in his speech, the managing director of CNL, Mr. Fred Nelson, represented by Mr. Sam Daibo said "the programme was one of the initiatives through which the NNPC/CNL Joint Ventures seeks to uplift the health and development of Nigerian children".

According to him, their target is "to de-worm 3,500 children in their area of operation", saying that the company's health and social developement intervention programmes cover a wide spectrum of activities ranging from community health care, containment of malaria, HIV and other ailments". He added that the company as a responsible corporate entity with reputation for protecting people and the environment is also committed to help the country build its manpower as "we face the present and future challenges".
