Anichebe Arrives In Nigeria

Everton FC striker Victor Anichebe arrived in Nigeria on Monday morning for Olympic international duty, and spoke out about his desire to perform despite the huge pressure that will be on his shoulders as he makes his debut for the country in Wednesday's qualifier against the Amagloglo of South Africa... Victor Anichebe had unceremoniously been excluded from Berti Vogts' squad for the last edition of the African Nations Cup in Ghana last month, despite indicating his desire to feature for Nigeria ahead of the Three Lions of England. He also allayed fears over his fitness state, stating that he will be fit to play for the Nigerian side on Wednesday. "That was a minor problem but it is sorted out now and I should be fit to play," he insisted.
